Begging the question as to what the definition of "Innocent" is . . . .

We INVADED. All of them were Innocent.

But, since there are people who maintain that this war was the right thing to do, I want them to tell me whether they think 100% of those who have been killed DESERVED to die. Certainly, they cannot maintain such a position; they MUST recognize that at least some are "Innocent" (no matter how they define that characteristic). So, no matter how you look at this war, we've either killed or helped to kill at least 10K people, who didn't NEED killing.

that 98,000 figure sounds mighty low. Second: all of them. Yeah, some outside sources have come there to kill Americans. But when it comes to Iraquis killed, there are two classes- 1. Those caught in the crosswire ("collateral" damage), and 2. Those who are fighting to repel a foreign invader ("insurgents"). Both of these groups are innocent. Remember, in 1776, WE were the insurgents.

12. I have heard ALL of the "explanations"/excuses. The biggest one is something like:

"They do this to themselves. All they have to do is be ______________ and they wouldn't suffer." It's like putting the burden for self-discipline on an ignorant child whom you are abusing and yet this is a common understanding amongst some types of Americans.

We cast ourselves as the "Christian" Moral Light to the World and yet we can't accept responsibility for our role in what is going on.

No American is against honest National DEFENSE, but self-fulfilling prophecies, framed with plausible deniabilities, that trigger chains of Murder for PROFIT, all over the World, for decades and decades is NOT National Defense. And claiming Moral leadership inspite of our guilt is profoundly dangerous, not only concretely, but also psychologically.
