1. Huffington was also saying that on Morning Joe.
But she also said that once he answers questions, everyone should move on since Obama had nothing to do with it. To which Pat replied "Noooo...he could still answer all of the questions and more questions will be swirling!" or some BS. But anyway, why is Lanny Davis still around, and employed at that? I do think some of the calls for "transparency" by the press are a little, um, transparent.

2. This is the talking-point du jour.
I even heard it on Chicago-Tribune-owned WGN news this morning.

3. Lanny Davis needs to STFU. He's nothing less than "a joke" based on the way he shamelessly
shilled for HRC and, at the same time, threatened and bad-mouthed Obama.

To say that the likes of one each, Lanny Davis, is an objective democratic strategist is absurd on face value alone. I see the whores in the M$M are just trying to stir up controversy and are not at a loss for pseudo-democratic leaning hyenas to fit the role of "useful idiot."

4. Missing the biggest case
Bush needs to be completely transparent.
The media attacking Obama over this is utter hypocrisy.

6. Actually, he may know that from his days in the Clinton administration
Had the Clintons at the very beginning been completely transparent and moved very quickly to get all the White water information out, it could have avoided the investigation that ended up dominating his years in office. At least one behind the scenes Clinton book (by Sidney Blumenthal) spoke of how a group of 14 Democratic Senators pleaded with them to do so - and were met with stonewalling. HRC was actually the angrier of the two from his account.

The fact is Fitzgerald and the tapes say that Obama did nothing wrong. It would have nice if Davis mentioned that before the election, Obama answered several hours (I think 3) of questions on Rezko openly with the conservative Chicago Tribune. The result, they wrote an editorial that they were satisfied with his answers and they later endorsed him.

7. The GHWB Justice Dept. did an investigation and declared Whitewater a non-issue.
The Clintons didn't want to feed the sharks twice. It would encourage them.

But I think they should have opened it up earlier, also.

12. At the time I am speaking of there had not yet been an investigation
Here is a link to a Parry article, chosen because he is as anti-Bush as you can get, there was no investigation into Whitewater under GHWB. There was an unethical attempt to use the Justice department to push the case on the failed S&L (Morgan Guaranty Trust) where there were people with connections to the Clintons - to get a damaging new story (the Clintons would only be listed as witnesses - but the story would still hurt. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2002/032202a.html

(Had the GHWB campaign simply pointed to Clinton links to the man who ran the failed bank, it would have been typical opposition research - no different than Hillary Clinton pointing to Rezko. They stepped over the line when they attempted to use the Justice Department to expedite the case - which luckily failed.)

At that point, there were questions - and over the years, the answers were found - and no laws were broken, but it took years to get to that point and the Clintons did stonewall.

9. The main link here is that they're both politicians from Illinois
Obama can't be more transparent than that.

11. They're working overtime to create a link that doesn't exist
We're talking about a Governor that called Obama a motherf*****r for not giving him what he wanted for crying out loud! How is that not proof enough?

This is absolutely ridiculous.
