Blago about Obama: "F**k him"

The tapes reveal a two-term governor who no longer wants his job, badly wants cash and is determined to leverage a financial benefit out of his appointment powers.

He also appears to think little of the president-elect, whom he calls a "motherf***er" at one point.

“F**k him,” Blagjoveich says of Obama during a lengthy call with top aides and his wife recorded on November 10th, “For nothing? F**k him.”

In another section of the complaint, Blagojevich expresses exasperation that Obama and his team aren't willing to offer him an inducement in exchange for appointing an aide, apparently Valerie Jarrett, to the Senate.

Blagojevich "said he knows that the President-elect wants Senate Candidate 1 for the Senate seat but 'they’re not willing to give me anything except appreciation. F**k them,'" says the complaint.

The networks are acting as if (purposely maybe) they don't know anything until the press conference.
edit: good, Pete Williams is talking about this now, saying that the papers clearly indicate Obama was NOT involved in any way, and that Obama would not give the governor anything.

Influence peddling by itself is worthy of punishment. Blagojavich makes it worse by trying to justify it with a personal insult.

Then, there is the matter of this being just the latest in a growing list of criminal acts on the part of the gov.

Idunno ... maybe the guy WANTS to go to jail and stay there. He's sure doing a lot to make that scenario happen.

Amazing. Even Republican Governors, like Schwartznegger, have the good sense not to go out of their way to piss off the incoming President. Yet, Blago demands a kick back punctuated by a "(expletive) them" in reference to Obama. Talk about ignoring your constituents! I doubt that Obama would turn his back on Illinois, but Blago was going to make things difficult for his state by insulting the P-E.
