6. It is true, but not sure what the point of this is.

Unless you're suggesting Blagojevich was taken out of context. That thought crossed my mind as well. The exact quotes I have seen like, "not offering anything," could very well mean, "to the State of Illinois" which would mean the governor was just doing his job.

However, the accusations from Fitzgerald concerning what Blagojevich asked for are extremely specific:

- a job making $250k to $350k for himself, possibly an ambassdorship or a union related job
- a $150k job for his wife

So there must be more than we are hearing. And Fitz has been pretty spot on to date. So I'd say Blagojevich is toast.

I am mildly disappointed. I thought he was honest. Incompetent, but honest and very well meaning. I will ultimately wait on the outcome of the jury trial. But I won't spend any time speculating on his possible innocence.
