Obama outdoes Bush on intel briefings

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/12/obama_outdoes_bush_on_intel_br.html

Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell was up at Harvard University last week talking about the importance of intelligence when he dropped a little tidbit I hadn't seen before.

"It's quite a thrill for someone to be able to go in and sit down and speak with the president of the United States every day. We do it six days a week. The president-elect is doing it seven days a week. I don't know if there's a little competition there or not - (laughter) - but it's seven days a week. And the sessions last somewhere between 30 minutes to almost an hour. And the subjects are absolutely incredible. The speed with which these two particular gentlemen absorb information and move on is astounding. But we go through a great deal of substance on any topic you can imagine in the context of national security or potential threats to the United States."

Apparently with Obama, there's no day of rest when it comes to daily intelligence briefings.

1. Which two gentlemen?
"The speed with which these two particular gentlemen absorb information and move on is astounding"

The linked article doesn't say which two men they are talking about. Would it be Joe Biden that is with PE Obama?
After 8 years of trying to talk to a fence post....this must be really refreshing. No crayons and picture-books required.
Smart people who actually "get it."

3. I wondered about that, too.
We know it's not the guy who said "Welcome to my hanging"..all he absorbs is himself.

6. But what if it's Bush?
Wouldn't that be a surprise!!!

It sounds like he is talking present and future.

5. Yeah, Frenchie...we are all holding our breath for the next 43 days.
Fortunately, the DimSon is obsessed with getting his message of revisionist history out and he's unlikely to start any new shit right now.
The ClueLessInChief is smirking, whining and back-pedaling his way out the door.
The bad guys are all those traitorous intelligence geeks that ambushed him.
I can't WAIT and I'm counting the days until this fuck is gone...and I hope that Barney bites him hard in the ass when they're boarding Marine One.
