6. Thanks for the heads up.
Believe it or not, I did not like this movie upon the initial viewing in the theatre during the 1980's. I saw it with my then boyfriend/baby daddy. He loved it. At the time, I was prejudiced against any movies with voice overs or kids who were formerly in commercials. I've since seen the light, and now love this movie. My baby daddy has since become a Bush supporting, right wing radio listening blah. It goes to show you, the oddest people can evolve or devolve, (depending on the situation).

back in the 80's..

I wss old enough to have seen it, I just never saw it anywhere but on TV for some reason.

The only good Christmas movies that have come out in my adult life that I can recall:

A Christmas Story
Scrooged
Love Actually (not entirely an Xmas movie)
Little Women (Winona Ryder version again not really an Xmas movie but part of it is)
The Family Man (not entirely an Xmas movie but has parts that are and is very much a parallel to It's a Wonderful Life)

By the way it just restarted..

16. I love when the dad is swearing up a storm in the basement trying to
fix the oil burner. LOL reminds me of my dad! LOL

if you notice, when he runs up the stairs all covered in soot, he lets out a swear that sounds just like "butterfinger!"

LOL

Love love that movie.

It's a major award!!!

Oh look, it's written in some foreign language, "fragile". LOL
