Why are Obama-Biden still fundraising?
I got an email from Obama for America, wanting to sell me a holiday Obama calendar for $35.
The campaign is over. Why are they still fundraising? Where is the money going?

6. Transition?
That's official business. I thought that was included in the budget.

9. Can the Obama-Biden campaign donate all its money
to the DNC?
That strikes me as misrepresentation.

28. It clearly says in the mailers they are raising money FOR the DNC. Considering we now have a
President and majority in both houses, I think the DNC and Howard Dean deserve whatever we can send their way.

Misrepresentation?? I'd say we're finally represented, after 8 long years.

16. You are right
I went back and reread the email and saw this:

When you make your donation, you'll be supporting the Democratic National Committee. The resources they invested in the 50-state organizing strategy made this movement possible -- help us build for future victories together.

5. I was wondering that too
Several possibilities.

1. Inaugural, though I thought that was separate fund raising.

2. Re-election?

3. For midterm elections?

4. To build a 200' gold statue in DC?

14. Wah!!! They didn't tell me about the calendar!!!
Seriously ..... I think some of it is for the transition and the DNC as already mentioned, but cant he keep any money raised for the 2012 campaign?

If so, fine by me.

I ordered my "Obama '12" bumper sticker from CafePress ... would have gladly ordered it from the OS if they had one available.

Ok, I gotta go find out about this calendar. lol

Well, I've found the perfect xmas gift for the wingnuts in the family. They can use the calender to count down the days until Palin destroys their party for good.
