I don't get it.
On one board I populate, Obama's picks show him as a partisan hack, yet then I come here and he's not partisan enough.

I guess if you're pissing both sides off, you must be doing something right, no?

1. Precisely.
One cannot govern from ideology. Invariably, no ideology matches reality because the real world is so much more complicated than any world view.

3. This is correct. And, he certainly does not like to have "Yes Men" around him
Bill Richardson would not have been where he is were it not for Bill Clinton. Bill went to him trying to get him to support Hillary or, at least, to say nothing. Instead, Richardson played the media, went to Washington and got to talk to Blitzer to announce that... he was going to make a decision.

He really really wanted the V.P. job, or the State.

Biden, on the other hand, did not endorse anyone, not until Hillary conceded.

The only two ass suckers who got a job that they wanted are Daschle and Napolitano. But they were early on board and Daschle was the one who started to lead him through the Presidential path as soon as Obama was elected to the Senate.
