4. I heard this on CNN this morning, and thought to myself as soon
as the country gets in a ditch Repugs split. Good riddance, we need a good Dem in that office anyway.

Peace!

5. Wexler must be considered a favorite to run -- and win.

I'm partial to the early Team O supporter who successfully defended President-elect Obama against Hillaryland's bullshit idiocy
over FL and MI. And you'd better believe President Obama will campaign for his buddy.

7. Alex Sink has a good chance, too.
She could also run for governor in '10, but Crist would be harder to beat than the lackey the neocons throw into the race for Senate.

9. Don't know her/never heard of her, so I can't comment.

Whoever it is has to be able to raise huge sums of money and marshal grassroots fervor. Team O has many supporters ready
and willing to work hard for Wexler. That much I know.

10. Hope he wins
I love me some Wexler. Not in that way, of course. Not that there's anything wrong with that... :D

11. I have intimate knowledge of how Martinez became senator in the first place
I was doing some consulting work for Bill McCollum who was running at that time (Yes I know but money is money). He was given full support from the GOP, however south florida was not looking to good for the election.

Hence Mel was literally SLIPPED in to grab the Cuban vote. The GOP did a complete 360 on McCollum and Mel won. Since being in the Senate he has done nothing and said nothing of substance. If there was ever a Manchurian candidate he was one.
