Here's more proof that Time poll is an outlier
It has Bush's approval rating at 56 percent. I just went to http://www.pollingreport.com and looked at all the polls done during and after the RNC.

None of the others have his rating higher than 52 percent, and three of the last five (Newsweek, Zogby, Fox) have it under 50 percent.

Since several of the polls have him at 52 percent, I'm pretty sure that's his ceiling, so any poll that has him at 56 percent has to be considered an outlier.

4. Outlier = Out + Lie + er ("Lie" as in "recline", not "falsehood")

9. Oh
I always thought it was a deviation that really couldn't be explained statistically. I.e. Time "screwed the pooch" and/or fudged the data when they did their polling.

Also if you stick the word Right (as Wing Republican) between out and lier,

Guess what you get? That what I think of the poll.

8. They may not be dirty ...
... but they are new and seem to have no real reputation yet.

I wonder why Time chose them. Plausable deniability in the event of a polling fiasco?
