As you know Khephra passed away a few years ago. He was a legend here at DU and sadly missed by so many of us. Kheph lived in Indiana and I think he would have been thrilled to see not only a democrat in the White House but that his state Indiana voted blue in 2008.

Now I'm crying just thinking about him.

1. He was our "Latest Breaking News" engine early in the morning...
Nothing got by him. I think he would have been so happy to see a blue Indiana.

2. IN
not only IN, but NC, OH, FL

were all big surprises, and welcomed
I did not have the pleasure of chatting with Kephra, but sounds like a true DU'r
:hi:

God, me too... When Indiana went blue, he was the first I thought
of. He would have been so amazed and so proud...I miss that big Egyptian Eye of Horus he used to use as his avatar. He certainly is missed.

3. He would have been very happy to see Indiana blue -
and he would be very happy to see Obama in the White House. I hope he knows his time on DU and his dedication weren't for naught - and how much he's missed by so many of us.

4. Khephra was a righteous soul
And we miss him here in Indianapolis terribly. Election night was as much for him as for anyone, because he did a lot here in Indy and here on DU to make that happen. I do believe his mom has remarried to a gentleman from Terre Haute, but don't quote me on that.

6. Yeh. Kephra was one of the ones I thought of that night... "Wish they could see this!"
But then again, maybe they can.

Better than we can, even.

hopefully,
Bright

I cannot recall who created this for Kephra, but if I remember correctly, it was meant as an urn for his ashes.

10. I was thinking of Khephra a lot during the week before the election...
and also of the other DU members who weren't allowed the joy of seeing this wicked administration finally come to an end.

I think on Inaugeration Day, we should all drink a toast to their memory.

11. Yes, I miss him and no one has yet filled his shoes in
what he did to keep us informed of everything that was going on around the world. I'm sure if he is around in spirit, he knows and is beaming about it. He might even had something to do with it in that plane of existence.

16. I thought of him when Obama was declared the winner
and again when Indiana went blue.

Considering his disappointment at the 2004 stolen election, I hope that he leaped for joy on Election Day.

Shalom, Keph, wherever you are!

I hope he's smiling ...

I miss him too, even though I didn't know him well at all...

He died right after I joined.

*sigh*

This one's for you, my dear Khephra!

19. I posted about Kephra about a month ago.
As a late nighter, I couldn't believe how fast he would get "breaking news" on in the morning. Seriously, he'd have a thread posted before CNN had even opened their mouths. And a lot of it was international, which basically doesn't exist on MSM anymore.

I remember when his Mom posted what had happened. It was beyond sad. Here's to Blue Indiana! But I like to think he and Andy are in a place with no borders. Thanks, Lynne

23. He was a big influence for me at DU.
I loved how he was able to debate his points strongly but rarely let himself be dragged down into the realm of personalities and insults.

I miss him, too.

24. Yes, things just aren't the same without Khephra
He was a wonderful, caring and compassionate person who really did contribute a great depth and dimension to DU during his time here and played a great role in making it such an enjoyable and pleasant place for me to be. I'll never forget his warmth and friedship toward me in my personal interaction with him and I'm devastated that last-minute circumstances prevented me from meeting up with him when I visited Indianopolis. I miss his presence on DU a lot

I believe he is there, somewhere, watching over all of us. But I wish he was physically here to see all this

RIP Kef:hug: I sure do miss you
