After reading for a few days- Unless OBAMA says it HIMSELF:

I won't buy into the shark infested waters they call the news, I won't buy into the Drama and the What If's.

I voted for him because I trust him to make the right decisions.

To rephrase a quote:

I want the two smartest guys in the room. (cursing removed)

We voted for them, We got them, now we need to let them DO THEIR JOB.

All the hand wringing, what if's, angst etc in the world isn't going to make a bit of difference. It didn't in the primaries, it didn't in the GE, and it won't now.

Bottom line- Do you trust him? I do.

2. It bears repeating: "the perfect is the enemy of the good"
I may not agree with Obama's choice of Hillary Clinton as SOS, but it would be big-ass improvement over what we have now.

4. That's where I'm sitting at now as well.

If he taps her for SOS, there has to be a reason for it. I wouldn't have voted for him if I didn't trust his judgement.

3. Agreed. He's shown repeatedly how carefully made his decisions are
If he wants HRC as SOS, I'm okay with that. I consider all the whining here about her being a neocon to be ridiculous. She may be more hawkish than Obama is, but having an SOS who appears to be hawkish may not be a bad thing at this time.

5. No doubt others are being vetted, they just are keeping quiet about it as per protocol.
No formal offer has been made, in fact, Bill Clinton will very likely be the sticking point: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1108/15680.html

From (and props to) ClarkUSA's original post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7881371&mesg_id=7881371

Team Obama, after all but offering SecState to Senator Clinton, is expressing EXASPERATION with the Clinton camp for the difficulty in getting a clean vet on President Bill Clinton’s many entanglements. “The ball is very much in her court, but the president's finances have been a major point of sensitivity from day one,” a Democratic official said. (“Day One!”)

“Given that everyone's mystified by how deliberately public the Clintons have made this once secret process, the assumption is either that the Clintons are trying to use the public buzz to steamroll their way in, create a sense of inevitability that overcomes those concerns, or that it's just a matter of time before they … satisfy vetting somehow, some way.

Otherwise, after all this speculation, there’ll be a permanent dark cloud hanging over her finances. … But generally the sense among the no-drama Obama world is: This is well on its way to winning best Oscar for drama.”
