Question: What is the "th" thing mean in the guard documents?
May be a dumb question but I need to know.

1. The say
typewriters from that era can't do the little 'th' that comes after, say, the 15th. You know how the 'th' gets small on a word processor. They're saying the fact that thesew documents have the little 'th' is proof that it was forged on a computer, because typewriters back then didn't have that feature.

Problem is, they did, and Rather displayed other docs from the same era with the little 'th.'

Helpful?

2. Superscripting
Available on IBM Selectrics and other fine typewriters since at least the mid-60's. But Freepers think superscripts were invented by Microsoft or something. Morons.

4. The Bush supporters are saying that
typewriters could not make a th like the one that CBS showed.

But tonight CBS showed a document that the White House had released that showed the exact same th.

Also CBS said that the maker of the typewriter said that the th had been on some typewriters since 1931.

NBC had their own expert say that he thought the documents were made on a computer. CBS says that the expert did not have access to an early copy and that repeated photocopying and faxing would reduce the quality of the paper that others were seeing.

CBS's best point was that no one was seeking an answer to the questions that CBS raised about Bush's service.

The most important question is: Was Bush ordered to take a physical as the memo says?

Another important question is: Why didn't Alabama send a report to Texas so that Bush could be evaluated?

Been a long working day today.

Glad Rather took it to them.
