Joe Conason was the one who wrote the story. He says that as far as he could tell, there was no truth to it but the magazine went with a misleading headline that made it appear as though his reporting actually said the rumors were true.

I'm guessing, though, that there may be other sources of information on the alleged affair. I know there was a book that made a passing reference to it.

The lady was Daddy Bush's travel aide - Barb knew all about it - went on a long time.

And it was interesting seeing Sharon Bush's attorney this morning on TV.
