Dismiss the once & future Ms. Palin at our peril, neighbors!
Perhaps it's time to reread "All the King's Men" and the rise of Hughy "Kingfish" Long, or Eva Perón, or Hitler or Mussolini. Civilization's bloody history is in large part dominated by a continuous stream of charismatic psycho populists selected by the puppet masters of each age.

Fear cards galore are yet to be played (and more plots are hatching hourly). Remember, to those who profit from misery, peace itself is the enemy. Permanently fearful populations and permanent wars somewhere else, their heartless strategy.

I read a lot of history, and can too easily imagine looking back from say, 2030, and reading about November 2008: how the victors not only let down their guard, but heaped post-election ridicule on top of their "I dare you" & "Go ahead, make my day" tauntings.

At our peril, neighbors. • "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance" - Thomas Jefferson & Patrick Henry

1. Whatever.
:eyes:

I heard the same warnings about her "potential power and ability" about this election.

2. You're right! She's just the tool.
The masters are behind the scenes. They'll use which ever tool to get the job done.

3. I agree. There may be no need to nitpick every twitch, but we need to keep on eye on her
She is dangerous, extreme, has the support of others of the same ilk.

6. She sure is more "available" now than she was during the election.
Before, she was AWOL. Now, every time I turn on the TV, there she is again!

7. Which begs an interesting if not downright humorous question
Should she get the nomination in 2012 who would be her running mate. Jerry Falwell? Jack Abramoff? rush limbaugh? Bobo the Clown?

Those 'puma's really turned out to be quite a force! We ignored them and look where that got us. Palin threats = puma threats. Pathetic.

9. +1. Anyone who's paying attention to what she's saying lately
knows she had a taste of the big time and the governor's office in AK isn't just going to cut it for her anymore.

Here she was catapulted onto the national stage, cheered by the adoring (albeit sheeple-like) Republican base, wearing hot new clothes and getting all that media attention.

The stories out of Alaska telegraphed her ambition. She thinks God is opening doors for her.

Never mind Troopergate - she was vindicated! (Well, by the one panel anyway, and that's all that matters to her.)

Watch her be a super mom in the kitchen with Matt Lauer. Isn't she cool?

:eyes:

I've seen too many declarations of "They're toast!" "They're finished!" on these forums that didn't pan out. She doesn't much care that she's ignorant, and neither did 58 million people who voted for her ticket.

All she has to do is come up with reasons to stay in the news and the MSM will gladly give her the attention.

I realize she can't be in the news every day, and a lot could depend on whether the Republican party WANTS her to succeed...but look out if they decide that she'll be their standard-bearer.

11. That's right - they are going to sell her as the best thing for the working class...
They are going to blame Obama for the collapse - which is just getting started, and they will... they might get away with putting her in office in 2012.

We really underestemate them at our peril. As we seeeven now - their machine holds sway over lots of folks.

The fucking media acts like she WON The election.

I noticed that SHE was the lead story almost all day yesterday.
