Gary Bauer has something to say about Kitty Kelly book......
The Opening Salvo
Gary Bauer of the Campaign for Working Families thinks he has a pretty good idea what sort of ammunition will be flying across campaign waters in the next several days. In fact, he says charges will be leveled at President Bush that "may make your knees buckle." But he says it merely reflects desperate moves by the Kerry camp in light of their candidate's descending poll numbers. The Democrats, he says, are "going negative."

Gary Bauer
"It is all part of a strategy by the Kerry camp and the radical left to destroy the president by undermining his support, particularly among men and women of faith," Bauer says, explaining that the "opening salvo" is a new book released by gossip columnist Kitty Kelly -- a book he points out that both Time and Newsweek magazines refused to serialize because of doubts raised about its sources and accuracy.

According to Bauer, Kelly alleges past drug use by both the president and First Lady Laura Bush -- "and those charges are just the beginning of what you may hear in the next few days," Bauer adds. "This is the politics of personal destruction at its worst."

Bauer notes that those personal attacks are being committed against the nation's Commander-in-Chief while America is at war -- and he wonders if any of those "character assassins" who he claims are "out to get the president" ever stop to consider the effect of their actions on the United States.

Kitty Kelly is out to destroy the President support among men and women of faith. Yeah RIGHT. she always tries to do that (sarcasm)

4. Wow . . .
What a bombshell! Except for one teeny, tiny detail: Kitty Kelley isn't part of the Kerry campaign. She's an author who has written a book.

But I suspect that Mr. Bauer, like his fascist forebears, wouldn't mind a return to the Bad Old Days of book burning.

7. She started this research 5 years ago, before he was the nominee--
and as for the timing of the release, how can the Reeps complain about good old capitalism at its best?

6. Sharon Bush's ex publicist backs up Kitty Kelley
He is the one who was present at the 4-hour lunch when Sharon Bush was interviewed by Kelley and he says that what's been reported about the book is an accurate reflection of the interview.

http://www.iht.com/articles/538141.html

"......Lou Colasuonno, a former publicist for Sharon Bush, confirmed that he was the third party present at the lunch and contradicted Sharon Bush's denial. "I have not seen the book; I have only seen news reports," he said. "According to what I have seen, what has been reported, I would not dispute that." ....."

8. They are more afraid of Kitty than even we realize
Her type of tabloid biography will be talked about throughout middle America. This will impact Bush's working class and middle class supporters more than we think. This is the kind of gossip passed around church basements folks- It will have a very negative impact on the Evil Weasel Boy.

11. You're absolutely right
It will forever brand George Bush as a cokehead and his family as a dysfunctional group every bit as bizarre as Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, et al.

10. Gary Bauer,a big flipper! During his run for the GOP nomination,
Gary decided that he would flip some pancakes to get a few votes from the Martha Stewart crowd. The flip extravaganza proved disastrous.Instead of catching the flipped pancake, Gary fell back on his ass, much to the amusement of his audience.Come to think of it, that fall may have actually gained him some votes from people who finally recognized that this guy was a human being instead of the robot that he comes across as.This incident and the news that he he was having an affair with a female aide made him more likeable than he is.That gave hime a constituency of three, including himself.
