why do some on DU think the media is objective ?
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 10:10 AM by JI7
it's amazing how many on du still think the media is objective and the only reason they are reporting on the Bush guard thing being a posible forgery is because of the republican response. but there was no huge response. no more than democrats. just as democrats DID respond but the media did not report it.

when are people on du going to get it ?

the republicans haven't proven anything other than websites posting questions and the big corporate whores picked it up and ran with it. just as they reported on kerry intern affair thing. they should never even have reported it as being an allegation based on some website.

1. Anyone with half a brain realizes the media is pro-Bush
I'm thinking that the ones who don't get it are either naive or closet freeps.

We have:

Air America
Jon Stewart
Bill Moyers
Keith Olbermann

They have everyone else.

9. That's about the size of it
...but I'd add Democracy Now and several commentators such as Jim Hightower (and maybe Molly Ivins, etc...) to that list (plus a lot of much smaller players with limited impact).

Although I was well aware of the right wing propaganda machine, I didn't really grasp it's full size and scope until last night/this morning.

2. I will go out on a limb here
I think most of the media is indeed biased FOR conservatives.
Notable exceptions are the NYTimes, CBS, and the LATimes.
The NYTimes has its share of Bush apologists like Kate Seelye, but overall I think this time around they have been doing whatever they can to bring Bush down.

3. I for one DUer get it as many here do.
The Dems will respond but get little to no coverage. The repubs respond and it is all over the news all the time. Agree 100% "its the media stupid."

6. i watched outfoxed yesterday and it moved me to tears
the media is our #1 enemy, and I am baffled that people do not understand that. The networks are just as bad as faux, but way more subtle. All protests and rallies should take place on the doorstep or across the street from the local corp spew units.
