1. Did hell freeze over?
I thought that this state was Bush country up until about two months ago. This is great.

3. Good grief, I tried to go to that website and my firewall started sending
off alerts like crazy. It said my Internet Explorer was trying to 'access the internet' in a new way. I pinged back to the sites and I don't recognize any of them, and they are certainly not sites that I want my computer to be sending them new date or info, Moscow State University being one of them.

What the heck was that all about????

Oh yeah, GO KERRY/EDWARDS!!

4. I liked this paragraph too:
Important Senate news today. Several new polls there have changed the outlook. Just going by the spreadsheet (i.e., the current poll numbers), the Senate will be split 50-50 as a result of a new poll in Oklahoma that now puts Brad Carson ahead of Tom Coburn (the former obstretrician who has admitted to performing abortions but now says abortionists should be executed). In addition, the spreadsheet says the Republicans will win the Louisiana seat, but since no Republican has ever been elected to the Senate by the people of Louisiana since direct elections of senators began in 1914, my best guess at this point is that the Democrats will actually have a majority in the Senate (counting Jeffords as a Democrat). This scenario was unthinkable 6 months ago.

***

It's such a damn roller coaster though. I can't keep up from day to day: hooray, we're ahead! we're doomed! hooray, we're ahead! we're doomed! ad nauseum, literally.

anyway, I can believe Ohio: it was well in play up till quite recently, even blue, and Kerry was just stumping in Cincinatti.
