3. You guys are obsessed!
We just elected the best presidential candidate of my lifetime in a landslide and expanded our majority in both houses of Congress. Instead of celebrating or talking about how to further an agenda, some people here are obsessed with punishing Lieberman even though we are going to need his vote on a lot of key legislation. I don't see what alienating him even more and kicking him out of the caucus accomplishes in terms of the issues we care about.

4. I'm not particularly interested in the disposition of Lieberman at this point, but
if he were interested in helping further the agenda of an Obama administration, would he have endorsed and campaigned for Obama's opponent?

5. Do you understand what the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
does? Read this thread, you want Lieberman in charge of that, you trust him not to leak out all kinds of info to his friends at Fox? I don't.

6. Need him for what?
Having 60 democratic senators (or dem leaning senators) does NOT guarantee a filibuster. We worked with Lieberman after he was 'ousted' from the primary by guaranteeing a committee seat for him and what does he do - stab us in the back and actively campaigns for McCain.

We don't need his vote. Harry Reid & the democrats need to send a loud & clear message that if you're going to support republicans for major offices like president then there is a price to pay. There are other democrats out there more deserving of these cabinet seats.
