Kerry will win in a landslide!!
Now that I have your attention I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax.

IMO, there are two things that will get Kerry back to where we were in the middle of August(polls).

1) There are a lot of people looking for a reason to vote for someone other than Bush. I have to believe that many of those picking Bush in the polls are very close to picking someone else. I would guess that at least 10-15% of Republicans and 75% of Independants and Undecided want to vote against Bush. He has screwed up so much(economy, Iraq, US standing in the world) that there is no doubt things could be better. You would have to be brain dead to not see this. If Kerry can convince just a small percentage of these people to shift and vote against Bush I think he could win.

2) Kerry needs to convince people he is just as strong as Bush on Terrorism, nothing more. Terrorism is the only issue were Bush leads over Kerry. He needs to work this issue to death in my opinion. I also think Kerry needs to start defining Bush as HALF of a President. He could start saying something like "Bush wants to pretend he is a strong fighter against Terrorism, but what about everything else? Well as President I will be just as strong against Terrorism, while also working to balance the budget, reduce health care costs, and add jobs"

My point is that it should not be to hard to get people to shift their vote from Bush to Kerry. Remember, it was only a few weeks ago when Kerry held a solid lead in the polls.

Also, I would still like to see some good talking points.

2. it would be difficult to be any weaker
on terrorism than Bush is. Why should we give Bush a pass on 9/11?

No, Kerry is obviously stronger on terrorism than Bush. Why not say why?

3. i have always thought it will be a landslide as well
there are a lot of pissed off r's

wall street's economy may be improving, but the individual's economy is not

dem turnout will be huge and when that happens the r's never have a chance

my gut feeling is that people are sick of this administration

polls are bs / media is weak / rhetoric is still rhetoric

4. I agree . . . I think there's a huge Kerry (or anti-Bush) vote . . .
out there that the polls are missing . . . voters with only cell phones, newly registered voters, young voters concerned about the draft, energized young African-American voters (thanks to efforts by the likes of Sean Combs and Andre 3000), seniors on fixed incomes, etc. . . I also have a hunch that there may be a fair number of Republicans who will answer a polling question one way and, in the privacy of the voting booth, vote another, i.e. for Kerry . . . same thing for people polling for Nader . . .

of course, they can still steal it, given that BushCo owns everything including the voting machines, the media, the government, and your cannon fodder children . . .

5. Bush has nowhere to go but down
And as the scandals continue to unfold more and more voters will peel off. The Kelley book next week. The Plame case. The spies in the Pentagon. AWOL.

Kerry's team is broad and deep. They are hitting high, they are hitting low, they are hitting hard.

I'm with you. Kerry in a landslide.

6. I agree that Bush is weak on Terrorism..
You know it and I know it, but the regular Joe and Jane don't. I think you are missing my point. If Kerry leads in every other category then he should be working to take the lead on Terrorism. If he can convince people he is at least as strong, then those wanting to shift will. I think it's simple.

8. The draft. The Supreme Court. The Log Cabin Repugs. The returning
military from Iraq. The Bush credibility factor. The unemployed.

Just a few items that were not negatives for Bush when he lost in 2000.

Democrats and progressives will show up in large numbers come election day.
