on as chair of (what I was mistakenly thinking of as) Homeland Security (and overlooking the crucial Government Oversight portion of the job). I am going to have a hard enough time forgiving myself for that lapse of intelligence. I beg your forgiveness.

PS: If any of you have doubts, please see this thread to get your head screwed on right:

PPS: Let me just clarify that I never thought Lieberman should be forgiven. Ever. I thought it might be wise to give him that chairmanship in exchange for restrictions on his words and behavior. I now take the opposite point of view: Lieberman is not to be trusted in any deal. Throw the fucker out.

1. You Are Forgiven, However Lieberman Is Not!
After what that POS Lieberman did to a good man in 2006, as far as I'm concerned that man has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Remember Ned Lamont, a very good man that was railroaded by Lieberman and some other dumbass democrats. Lamont won the right to be Democratic candidate (and was, but not given Dem support) that year and should have been given the complete and absolute support of the Democratic party. Instead fellow Democrats screwed him over and supported jerko instead. Shame on us for doing that to one of our own. Ned deserved so much better, he would have made a great senator, and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

3. The last thing an asshole like Lieberman needs is a bully pulpit.

Let alone one from which he can attack Obama, the Dem president he actively worked against. Let alone one the Dems of all people would give him to attack Obama from!
