The Media Spin on the AWOL Story is Unbelievable
Absolutely unbelievable. Did anyone see ABC World News this morning? They were spinning so fast I thought they were going to fly out of their chairs. They were spinning so hard that I got dizzy myself.

It took over three weeks for the the media to discredit the Swift Boat Liars for Bush. It took them 24 hours to spin the Bush AWOL story. Now, instead of talking about how Bush was AWOL, did cocaine and was loathed by his superiors, they're spinning about typewriter fonts and superscripts and showing every picture of Bush in a classy uniform that they can find (subliminal messaging, anyone?).

I have to give CBS some credit. They're the only network that's willing to cover the stories that are unfavorable toward Bush, and I can't help thinking that this is some type of evil payback by Rove for their "misdeeds." But NBC and especially ABC have drank the Kool-Aid. Their little rowboat has drifted out into the high seas and it's too late to save it.

I have, in the past, thought about contacting the FCC about the media's misuse of power and biased coverage, but then I realized that the FCC itself is controlled by the Bush Administration. Colin Powell's son is the chairman. How are we supposed to hold the media accountable when the people at the very top are beholden to the GOP money machine?

1. CBS so far is sticking by the story
As someone else already said:

Isn't there ONE journalist who can ask the question

Did you ignore,or disobey a direct order to take a physical?

I suggest you write to news outlets, encouraging them to that question

3. The ABC report/spin was sickening.
First they cast doubt on the authenticity of the Killian documents. Then they accuse the motives of the people involved. Finally they sum it all up as a negative attack by Kerry supporters and that the public doesn't care anyway.

Disgusting!

4. ABC's Motivation
Is trying to protect their precious Peter Jennings for his remarks about Moore in January.

6. Moore made a fool out of Jennings
then he went on to make fools out of all of them, by showing the Booker school video.
