Sheldon Whitehouse of RI would be an great choice for AG!
And then Lincoln Chafee a brand new Democrat can get his Senate seat back. Not sure if there has to be a special election or not, but I'm pretty sure he would win.

Sheldon Whitehouse is a former US Attorney and he kicks butt! He is my favorite on any panel inquisition.

4. You know what? I think you are correct.
I see where he disaffilated from the Republican Party after he lost his seat. I guess I assumed because I saw him on a couple of show representing the Dem viewpoint, I thought. Oh well. I wonder if he would consider declaring as a Dem?

Sheldon Whitehouse would still be a great AG, though, even though youu've thrown a wrench into my plan.

3. No good. Rhode Island has a Republican governor.
Thus its senators are off-limits.

6. New England is funny like that
Despite being the bluest region in the country, the states often elect Republican governors. Connecticut has a Republican in office, too, and of course Massachusetts had Mittens a few years ago.
