Something STINKS in Alaska
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 11:09 PM by JMDEM
Heard on the Rachel Maddow show:

Apparently the polls across the country were pretty much right on, when compared with the actual election results, with the exception of Alaska, where there was a HUGE skew (14 - 17%) for all Republican candidates. This is how the two convicted felons got "elected".

What is even fishier is the following: if the Senate boots out Stevens, Palin can appoint anyone to take his place, INCLUDING HERSELF!

This stinks like a pile of dead salmon killed by an oil spill.

there had to be a special election to fill Stevens' seat? I thought it came about after another GOPuke governor appointed his daughter.

8. Palin can NOT appoint herself. Alaska law says there has to be a special election.
Please don't spread misinformation. Alaska law does NOT allow governors to appoint replacement Senators.

12. That's correct, she CANNOT appoint herself, BUT she could resign
and her Lt Gov. would be the new Governor. Then she could run for the senate seat. From what I've seen of Ak. she'd probably win.

11. Mark Begich's campaign has people coming in to oversee
the ballot counting and to look into other discrepancies. It could get really interesting.
