... and the right wing fundamentalists are about to take a big hit for putting this disaster of a VP Candidate on the ticket.

Dobson and Perkins are loved more by the right wing fundamentalists than any other Repub Party Officials, and this create a major split since they were never committed to building the Repub Party but rather were in it for the payoff on social conservative/religious issues.

It has been leaked that Dobson did the vetting of Palin and pronounced picking her would get his vote and endorsement of the McCain Ticket, even though he had personally promised he would never support McCain.

IMHO the right wing fundamentalists will recede from power in the Repub Party and the social conservatives and fiscal conservatives will struggle for control along with the few moderates who still exist.
