1. 3-6 on Tuesday seems a little late to bang phones. What state are you in?

4. Ahhh - makes sense. I'm driving voters Tuesday... I've canvassed door to door which I find easy
because I enjoy meeting people and I also live in a very pro-Obama town, so I don't meet much resistance. However, I think there is a little more finesse to the phonebanking process and since I've never done it, hopefully someone else here can give you some solid advice.....

Good luck and keep up the good fight!

3. You'll be calling people who are identified Obama supporters
asking them to go vote.

They'll probably mostly be nice, but this time of year, people are getting a zillion calls, so be prepared for some people to be short with you. Don't take it personally and just keep on trucking.

5. Not too bad.
I hit the phones for Kerry last time, and I got mostly answering machines. Also, my list of "Kerry supporters" included a few people that were anything but. Overall not a bad experience, though my ear was warm from using a cell phone for nearly 4 hours straight.

6. I'm phonebanking for the first time this weekend
Let's wish each other good luck.
Good luck!!!

(P.S. I'm so proud how many people Obama has inspired to do things for the first time -- vote, phonebank, watch a debate in its entirety, donate to a political campaign, care about politics!)

:patriot:
