I've been heckled by a damn fool in his carpet cleaning business van. I've been told Obama will take the shirt off my back if he's elected. I've been glared at by pinched-faced Repuke women. I've been told by a self-proclaimed "yellow dog Democrat" that he didn't vote for Barack because Barack is black. I've had Repukes in their Hummers and huge SUVs drive back and forth in the early voting polling place parking lot glaring menacingly at me for daring to show my support for Obama. As of today I have lost contact with my uncle and his wife because I dared to call them out on an inflammatory piece of propaganda they emailed me.

I have also been told I'm a brave woman and have been thanked for what I'm doing. I've also received hugs from countless excited first-time voters and elderly black voters who never dreamed they'd have the chance to vote for an African-American candidate to be President. All of this makes the crap I've been taking worthwhile.

Bullwinkle925 has gone through all of this with me except the uncle thing - he'll still be in touch with her, but not me. He doesn't know she's visiting me right now and knows what went on.

I had the misfortune to hear Tom Delay making shit up on the radio today and lost my head and just SCREAMED in the car.

I loved my neighbors when I lived there but there were some I could have just choked.

I lost touch with my bestest friend from there during a couple of moves and I'd give almost anything to get back in touch with her. I know she's a bigole Dem and I'd love to know what she thinks about this election. I miss her awful.
