I think that 'open mic' incident that caught Peggy Nooner, Chuckie T, and some other guy i can't recall pretty much spells out how most of those shills really feel.

"No economist would agree! No one would agree! No economist...no economist that I can think of..." and tried to filibuster when Shuster called him out on one of his nonsense points. Shuster usually doesn't let him go on that long, but maybe he was like "I only have to deal with this fucker a couple more days".
