Early voting hours extended in NC
The State Board of Elections ordered Thursday that all 100 counties in North Carolina must keep early voting sites open for an extra four hours this weekend unless local officials unanimously decide it's unnecessary.


In an emergency meeting, the board unanimously agreed to extend Saturday early voting hours to 5 p.m. The meeting came after Mecklenburg and Guilford counties sought permission to keep the sites from closing at 1 p.m. as scheduled......

2. it is good they added the unanimous part about county boe's.
Here in NC the make up of the county BOE is determined by which party holds the Governor's office. We currently have a Dem Governor so each county board has 2 Dems and 1 Rep.
