Obama dominated the t.v. last night, BRILLIANT
His 30 minute ad, The Daily Show, then followed by huge rally with Bill Clinton. Just imagine what McCain/Palin were thinking yesterday/today lmao.

It was brilliant to do this the so close to election day. Last minute push in the right direction.

1. I like the fact that McCain's name wasn't mentioned even once..
it was positive, hopeful, reassuring and uplifting in the end. BRILLIANT.

3. I think Obama's been using the "pretend your candidate doesn't exist"

approach. I never knew it worked so well.
Unlike McCain, he can't answer a question without bad mouthing Obama.

8. So many of McCain's ads don't even mention McCain..
if you're not paying close attention (which most people don't) you'd think it was an ad for Obama.

9. totally.
And I remember it worked on Sen. Clinton towards the end of the primaries...

He kept talking about McCain instead of Hillary.

Now he's talking about January instead of November.

Smart.

4. Brilliant indeed...
The TV special is all the talk last night, and wins the news cycle today. Then Friday is basically non-existent because of Halloween (everyone out trick or treating, not watching news). Then the weekend, and Election Day is right around the corner... Brilliant move and brilliant timing.

5. I do wonder though if Palin or McCain will do something crazy
to win back news cycle. Although at this point they would probably be called out on it.

6. It would be very hard to do.
The only play they're getting today is Joe the No-Show Plumber. Hell, I don't even see an OBL message shifting anything -- Al Qaeda already "endorsed" him, for goodness sake. Plus, as things look more and more dire, the McCain/Palin rift will get worse and get more play -- the media loves the juicy bits.

7. He was featured on ABC evening news with Charlie Gibson too yesterday
Although ABC did not show the 30 min special, they did have a nice interview with Obama on the evening news.
