About those Obama smear mailers . . .

Especially if you're from PA, but probably all states are basically the same. I got several in the mail today and forgot to look before i went to work, do they have your name and address on them? Or are they go to every house and no address?

this is very important . . . ! Without thinking I stuck thim in a door of a house with a huge McCain sign with a note attached of what I thought of the Swiftboat tactics, nothing too terrible, but I need ot know if I have to go back and reitrieve it. yes I'm a bonehead

2. I had a few sent to me yesterday in Madison, WI

My name and address was on the documents. Additionally, someone who used to live at my home was also sent a few of the documents.

and only non-repubs seem to be getting them.

neighbors behind us are republican (both voting for obama) haven't received any of these mailers, nor have they gotten the robo-hate calls - neighbor also said other repubs she knows haven't received this garbage either

name and our address on them..really ugly stuff too. Makes me wish we had a way to hold them accountable for such trash.

5. I hear you

I was going to drop them off with a little note to the Repub HQ's, but I saw this big ugly McCain sign and turned my car around and impulsively stuck them in their door. I went back and grabbed the mailers, left the note. I didn't want to get in trouble, although i don't think I broke a law or anything, and the note was a pretty respectful set down of old grumpy.

6. Thanks for the responses to my panicky thread

I went back and grabbed them - they actually had my deceiced sister's name on them! She lived with us for a few years before she died of cancer nine years ago. I don't think she was a Repub, but I remember her and her husband railing on Clinton for months after the Lewinsky thing so, maybe she was, but I don't get why they'd be sending hate mail to her.

This election is driving me to distraction. Be over, already!
