Don't take this lightly... I think most are including us here at DU.

Out of the 500, approx 1-2 dozen were deemed serious by the US Justice Dept.

I consider this a MAJOR SERIOUS issue... A successful assassination of Obama will make the sixties look like a town fair....and possibly end this country as we know it.

The USA has not taken serious the 2000 plus white supremacy/neo-nazi hate groups that exist in America... IMO there is a more than 60% chance that a sophisticated attempt on Obamas life will occur. Why should I not believe this, given the history of this country...

Obama must beef up his security 4-fold.... and we need to be aggressive against these groups and let them know they are being monitored !!!

I was shocked that the "Bomb Obama" guy has not been dealt with by the Secret Service. I remember when a student was interviewed by the SS for having a snarky Bush poster in his hallway, and a neighbor turned him in. We discussed it on DU years ago when it happened, and the guy who was shooting his mouth off in a gym who was taken downtown for something MUCH less extreme. Hell.. half the bumper stickers on the wingnuts cars during the Clinton admin would have qualified for a visit.
