Who here has never voted in a Presidential Election where the Democrat won?
I count myself in this group. I turned 18 in 2000--just in time to see George W. Bush, Katherine Harris, and the Supreme Court make a mockery of the whole democratic process. The Republicans have been running the Federal Government for literally my entire adult life.

Let's hope this year is our year, Generation Y!

3. Since 1984, that's only happened to me once -- 1992 for Clinton.
(In 1996 I lived in a "safe" Dem. state and voted for Nader as a protest against Clinton's "triangulation" and DLC policies.)

6. I've only voted in two
I've been eligible to vote in 7 presidential elections including this one.

Four of those were GOP victories.

I will also say, this is the first time in my life my first choice in teh primaries was the nominee.

8. Bill Clinton in '92 was my first
But I remember the gas lines of Carter and the shooting and "memory loss" of the Reagan years.

I remember thinking the first Iraq war, Desert Storm, was wrong and proudly stood in Democratic headquarters in Lancaster, PA watching Bill Clinton be projected as the winner in a landslide. I also remember standing in the cold, drizzling rain handing out literature and talking to folks on election day at a VERY, VERY Repub precinct.

9. I Haven't. Didn't Care About Politics Much Until The Evening Of Election Day 2000.
That night I knew something was wrong. The following days, I knew there was more to politics than I ever realized. With the SC decision, I knew I had to start getting involved. I've never turned back since.
