10. It's BRILLIANT! It is "negative," but I don't have a problem with negative spots that are truthful.

When people complain about negativity in political ads, I think they really mean mudslinging, fearmongering, innuendo, ad hominem attacks, guilt by association, and distortions of the facts. But there's nothing wrong with pointing to the implications of an opponent's proposals.

"Truckers for Obama" - an indie ad created earlier in the month - used similar imagery, including driving metaphor and road signs.
