Laughable (and deeply deluded) FR thread about Obama supporters.
Not Your Grandfather's Democrats!
(http://www.rightsidenews.com/200810292398/editorial/not-your-grandfather-s-democrats.html">Right Side News | October 29, 2008 | JB Williams)

Posted on Thursday, October 30, 2008 9:55:36 AM by PlainOleAmerican

There are only three types of Obama - Biden supporters and the evidence is now conclusive that none of them are your grandfather's Democrats!

1. The hate-filled anti-American Democratic Socialist base of today's DNC, 2. Folks that still vote Democrat because their grandfather did, 3. Folks who watch too much left-wing television.

In the last couple weeks, Obama has let the cat out of the bag. His life-long mentoring from communist community organizers like Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, Williams Ayers and Rev. Wright is out in the open.

Obama's socialist plan for massive central power, supposedly authorized by the voters, to confiscate the private property of some citizens in order to purchase the votes of others, with visions of dancing sugar-plums, is now the centerpiece of his entire campaign.

And Biden let the nation know that Obama's "hit the rich" tax scheme is not really reserved for the super-wealthy. Yet many Americans still intend to vote for a man they know almost nothing about.

Correction:
There are only three types of Palin - McCain supporters and the evidence is now conclusive that none of them are your grandfather's Republicans!

1. The hate-filled anti-American Republican Fascist base of today's RNC, 2. Folks that still vote Republican because their grandfather did, 3. Folks who watch too much right-wing television.

6. Left-wing TV? That would be Fox,
as contrasted with the flat-out Reds at the Communist News Network. Or so a wingnut co-worker used to tell me.

I quit teaching college years ago, but it would be so easy to teach abnormal psych these days, what with all the examples of pathology around us everywhere!

7. Apparently they didn't get the memo that "Will and Grace" is no longer on.
Frankly I never found it funny at all but it had nothing to do with the plot...

Perhaps they're talking about Olberman and Maddow?

4. You'd hope most people would've seen through this crap by now.

Hopefully enough have seen through it and Obama will be elected, along with a tidal wave in Congress.

running rampant among the lunatic right.

12. I think that category 3 applies most of all here in my corner of SC...
Except that it's also the RW radio. I can't tell you how many times I've had painters, plumbers, carpenters, etc. working at my house while listening to Rush, Hannity, Beck or Savage. Or...how many of my coworkers, when I relieve them at shift-change, are doing the very same thing. Add a little Sludg...uh...Drudge to the mix, and that describes the mindset around here perfectly. (No left-wing radio here, of course.) I think the numbers would confirm this as well...that there are more millions who listen to RW radio...and do so for longer periods...than they do RW cable television.

14. To me, right-wing hate radio (and Fox "News") is the heart of the problem.
With vile, false ideas being mainlined into so many Americans' minds every single day, how can we possibly survive as a unified nation?

It is overwhelmingly frustrating to me to observe that whereas our objections to Palin/McCain are based on true, demonstrable facts, their objections to Obama/Biden are based entirely on lies and false impressions. How can you fight that? Logic won't work.

15. Aughhhhhhh....I confess!!!!!!!!!
It's that Left Wing TV that's making me vote for Obama!!!!

The Discovery Channel....The History Channel....HGTV....

Shows like "Dirty Jobs" and "Ugly Betty"

and let's not even get started on Football!!!!!

and yes...even a bit of NASCAR when there's nothing much else on :yoiks:

Oh, and the hate I have!!!! Yeah, I hated the Iraqis so much I actually cried when I saw the "Shock and Awe" stuff on TV back on '03. And...imagine this....I'm so Anti American I actually want a president I can be proud of...who will restore this country's respectability factor with the rest of the world.

And as far as voting the same way my grandfather did...I have no clue how he voted. He never said and I never asked. No doubt he's sending me messages from The Great Beyond..... :scared:

sigh...it would really BE laughable if these fruitcakes weren't actually running around loose in the streets...

22. I've wondered about smart people with "stupid" political opinions myself.
The engineer/chemist side of them shows that they can process data, learn, use logic, etc. But then they cast this all aside when formulating political opinions.

I think that sometimes these people are ignorant and misinformed rather than stupid. I'll bet your co-workers watch Fox "News" and listen to right-wing radio. A steady stream of false information with nothing to contradict it can leave one living in an imaginary world.

neither of my grandfathers was a Democrat and I hardly watch any TV except an occasional ball game.

Hey, at least we got a Freeper to spell it "DemocratIC"!

Duh!

WTF were you freepers expecting when all the Dixiecrats became the racist Southern Republicans?

LOL at all the hypocritical points that the freepers try to make-- the stuff they enumerate is just so easily turned back on them. It really proves the adage about stones and glass houses.
