It never works to vote against someone. It only works to vote FOR someone.

I truly believe that. In 2004, most people were probably voting just as much AGAINST Bush as they were FOR Kerry, if not more so against Bush than for Kerry. (I was pretty much torn...probably 50/50.)

Bush voters were probably mostly voting FOR Bush.

This year, people are voting FOR Obama. McCain voters are mostly voting AGAINST Obama, not FOR McCain.

If the FOR feeling outweighs the AGAINST feeling on your side, your side wins. (Yay!) Just my amateur political philosophy on a Thursday morning. Only a few more days now, guys, hang in there.

for Obama in the primary. He thinks Obama's popularity is caused by anti-Clinton people like himself and that McCain will win in a historic landside. How can bright people be so dopey?
