Goodbye DU till Wednesday

I'm going to be practically living in a warehouse that we have rented for staging our canvassers, poll watchers, line managers, and phone bankers in Allentown for the next 5 days. I also have 6 out of state volunteers staying at my house on air mattresses and couches.

My day begins at 6 am with a conference call and will end around 11pm after we set up for the next day. I've been volunterring for Barack since February and I'm greatful for all the wonderful people I've met through the campaign and on here. I'm greatful for the opportunities I've had to see Barack speak, Bruce Springsteen Play, and tonight hear the next Vice President of the United States Joe Biden.

Before this began I was never active in politics. I was always a junkie but never a person who got their hands dirty. I'm hooked now and am looking forward to the 2010 Senate and House race in my district.

I started this journey looking for a yard sign and ended up a community organizer. Barack has empowered me to work for my own community.

The ground war begins tommorow for me and will end probably when the polls close in Nevada (we maybe phonebanking Nevada after PA polls close).

I have never gotten involved in politics before... always interested but watched from a distance. It wasn't until i discovered DU during the conventions that I started to want to get involved. It was reading posts from people like you that got me to get involved. I stated going to the local field office a few times to make calls and the did Canvassing in Virginia (I live in MD). I will be going into virginia sunday monday and election day.

Its completely energizing/ My only regret is that I didn't get involved earlier
