Biden is a "gaffe" machine because the media made it so. They hang on his every word hoping he will fuck up so they can go ape shit and show how smart they are, when in fact, he has said nothing wrong. Compare him to Palin and the drivel that spouts out every day. McCain himself has made more "gaffes" than Biden. He is sticking to the script because he is loyal and that is what the campaign wants him to do, not because theY distrust Biden, but because theY distrust the MSM. Obama could make huge hay out of the gaffes that Palin and McCain have made, but he does not because he chose to run a more positive campaign (he did use the 100 year thingy though). I think his choice will be proven correct in the end.

Go Biden, I hope he never shuts up!

I just think this is counter productive. The article was sorta complementary, in terms of what Biden has done for the ticket, but it also perpetuates the impression that he could be a liability unless the campaign keeps him under control. I just don't think that is the relationship between Biden and Obama at all, I think they recognize the MSM is culpable in the tag on Biden and they just don't want to make any mistakes right now.

Please let me add another note -- Please let me say how sorry I am about your kitty. I have my two dear ones here with me as I type, and a mother cat and five kittens living in the backyard. We, of course, have lost beloved cats through the years, and I know the pain and hurt that causes. My heart goes out to you.
