Not what I expected....
When you figure that Obama got all those donations, mostly small from people like me, and that he's winning according to the polls even in some red states, and is, well,.... black.....

I was expecting the infomercial to start out something like:

An alien would introduce himself, or would that be "itself?", and say:

"People of Earth..... I am from another planet, and we want you to vote for this man."

1. Not being able to get C3PO...
It still came off pretty well.

A Vulcan representative would have been pretty cool, though!:eyes:

B-)

2. Um....
What?

I'm sure there's a point to this post, but it's lost on me.

5. Oh, there's a point, maybe a couple of them...
Obama seems to be pragmatically spiritual or spiritually pragmatic. I like the way he asks that our country appeal to its better angels, and saw his humor in saying that he wasn't born in a manger.

But the point is that his being where he is today was exceedingly unlikely and I would not have believed it even 6 months ago, because it's just as unlikely that an alien would want to talk to us (if there are any).

9. HOLY SHIT!
I was thinking the same thing myself on the way home from work today. Was going to post that weird thought here, but got distracted. Except I imagined that it was actually Obama who was the alien...you know like the ones in that sci-fi series, I think it was "V" where the aliens were really lizard people in human skin?

10. Aha, a fellow nut....
One of the things that made the thought run thru my mind was the book, THE EXETER INCIDENT,(?), something like that....where Betty and Barney Hill were abducted. Betty was white, Barney was black, and they were childless...Doesn't fit, but curious because interracial marriages were pretty much unheard of then (in the 60's?)...

It happened in Vermont, and Howard Dean is from Vermont, who made this victory possible I don't doubt for a minute. Just a bunch of unrelated stuff, just coincidences I'm sure (?)....

Okay, burn me guys, this is all tongue in cheek, but it kinda does make ya wonder...
