16 months ago, I said, "No way, He can't win against Hillary. He's just too new."
Then I said, "No way. American's not ready for a black president."
Then I said, "No way. McCain is too popular, hell, I changed my registration to Republican to vote for him in 2000."

Now I remember how I felt 16 years ago, when I was 16 years old, and Bill Clinton broke the Republican chains on our government. He was the first Democratic president I could remember. I believed I would have health insurance for the first time in my life. I believed Social Security would be fixed, and I would actually receive it as a Gen X'er in retirement.

Now, I believe again, but this time, I am doing something to make sure America fulfills her potential. Where's my cell phone?

2. I'm proud to be a supporter, contributor and volunteer...
...but I was a Hillary supporter and voiciferous proponent on this forum. I'm proud of our candidate and proud that the rough and tumble of the primary helped to put the polish and luster on Obama.

Can we win this together? Yes We Can, but we cannot let up.

3. You speak for most of us. Now, I feel
something surging in America's heart. It is uplifting. I will never see this outpouring again in my life. Obama is a man for our time.

4. His being new was always a point in his favor, IMO.
But yeah, I didn't think enough other people would forgive him for that.

He may be no liberal, but I think he's smart, pragmatic and good-hearted enough to enact a little progressivism where it's most needed. I think he's going to make a much better president than my earlier choices would have.
