Obama needs to address voter fraud, ASAP, and make 3 specific points:
1. Voter fraud is not the same thing as voter registration fraud. What we saw in 2000 and 2004--that was voter fraud. Voter registration fraud, the thing that pundits are making a fuss about, rarely leads to illegal voting. Only 100 people have been prosecuted in modern history for voter registration fraud. Voter fraud, however, is a serious problem, and there has already been a tidal wave of efforts across the nation to keep you, the voter, from taking part in democracy.

2. Likening Obama and his party to vote thieves is the first punch of a classic Rove combo. The party of John McCain and George Bush is taking one of their most significant weaknesses and projecting it on Obama. When executed flawlessly, the tactic leaves the opponent tarred initially, and later weakens the blow when the accuser becomes the accused.

3. Crist said it yesterday. Making it easier for people to vote hurts McCain's campaign. That simple fact alone should drive Americans out in droves to vote. Vote...because they don't want you to. One party wants you to vote. Another will do everything in the shadow of the law (and beyond, I fear) to prevent you from exercising your right. One party believes that because your name is registered as "William" in one place, and "Bill" in another, that you should be prevented from electing the next president. One party is fighting vehemently to guard the right granted to us by our forefathers. Don't let them keep you from using your voice. Unlike John McCain, stand out there, rain or shine. Do not let anyone sabotage your right.

We need to prevent the crime before they get the chance to commit it.

conflated "voter fraud" with "election fraud", confusing the issue.

What happened in 2000 and 2004, apart from massive voter suppression was the massively biased malfunctioning of innumerable voting machines, flipping votes from Dem to Repug. And insofar as that was insufficient, the "fiddling" of the figures was performed by a tabulator of the votes.

It was statistically proved beyond any doubt, and, as if the statistics, themselves, were not compelling enough, it was clear that algorithms had been employed to tally the figures "appropriately".

3. Voters were not the ones committing fraud in 2000 or 2004. We call it
election fraud. We don't blame the victim around here.
