What's wrong with lying to your opponent? Anyone see anything wrong with that? I don't.

1. For years conservatives lectured us that nobody cared about campaign finance reform
Maybe they have forgotten that.

2. Except it wasn't a promise, and Obama HAS public financing. The market works...
...and suddenly the Rape-Publicans want government intervention.

3. I got that whine from a Repub today and my answer was
"So what? Tough, deal with it." GOD, I loved doing that!

4. How about it is just bullshit?
Obama didn't promise to do anything other than negotiate with McCain over public financing. Those negotiations broke down over outside the system organizations such as 527s, which McCain refused to let go of. Obama kept to the letter of his statement. They have nothing but bullshit here, as usual, and they look like sore losers complaining that the other side is too strong and too well funded and too organized and, well, has too damn many people voting for them, so that is why they are winning.

8. Exactly. Obama never pledged to accept public financing
It's amazing how many people do not know that fact.

5. They've got nothing left.
This election is in our hands now. We are the ground game Barack is counting on. Make calls, knock on doors, donate money, and drive folks to the polls - its now or never gang.

We stand on the verge of a new America - work like the devil for our party, our nation, and our children.

YES WE CAN

7. Why do Repugs hate the first amendment?
Hell, that's what they've always said to us in the past when they had way more money than we did.

11. Ask them how it feels and then multiply that by 10billion...
and they will only begin to feel the way the most of us feel about our treatment by republicans.

Or just tell them to <deleting the offensive sexist stuff> and make themselves useful.

16. You know what this said to me back then? That Obama plays to win.
I remember way back when this decision broke, it actually cemented my feelings that we were going to win this thing. Because Barack knew that playing by "their" rules and keeping his "word" would get him nothing. They would still play dirty and 527 like crazy till the very end.

Right then I knew Barack was ready to take a short term hit if it meant WINNING in the end. Strategic thinking at its best. We need this same type of backbone and cunning when he's negotiating on behalf of our country.

Barack has made John McCain and the Republicans a bunch of whiners into this election. It is a sight to behold.
