Find the details here http://elections.gmu.edu/early_vote_2008.html

Some states offer more breakdown in terms of party, race and age.

Georgia's very high AA turnout means that, if that percentage continues (35%) then he will only need 25% of the white vote to win GA.

Here is Florida's numbers with the Democratic advantage increasing slightly

Dem 45.4%
Rep 39.0%
No/Oth 15.6%
Ballot
Absentee 45.4%
In-person 54.6%

Today's surprise was Lousiana - Dems 58.4% Republicans 28.5% and Independents 13.1% If Republicans become convinced that there is going to be a landslide loss and stay home and Democrats continue to GOTV then this could end up being the surprise Democratic upset of the night. AA constitute 33% of the population but 36% of the early vote one of two states where the AA early vote meets or exceeds the total Republican vote - North Carolina is the other.

1. Anybody know the deal for CA?
It's small potatoes for CA's electorate but a <1% advantage for registered Dems is at least initially surprising (no not a "concern" yet!) Fundy pent up rush to vote on Prop 8 maybe?

5. Generally, absentee ballots greatly favor Republicans in Calif. So, being up by one is good, I think

2. That's about 12% of the total vote completed so far :)
One-eighth. Not bad at all! (Expecting 139 million)
