How Many "Undecideds" Will Even Vote?
I have to wonder how many "Undecideds" will even bother to vote.

Think about it: Pollsters call people, and they make the decision to answer the phone. Now, I've never been polled by phone before, but I imagine the respondents know full well they're talking to a polling organization. They aren't talking to an Obama phone banker or anything like that. In those cases, I'd expect someone to say they were "Undecided" just to get the phone banker to leave them alone.

So they answer the call. They give the pollster the time of day. And they still say they are Undecided. Today!

Who is this person? If he still doesn't know who he is going to vote for, today, what's the likelihood that he's going to go stand in a long line on or before 11/4 in order to vote, for someone he can't even decide on - TODAY.

Seems unfathomable to me.

1. I stood in line for an hour and a half yesterday to vote.
If I were waiting till election day, and the line might be longer, or I lived in a state where the outcome seemed like a foregone conclusion, and I was wishy washy about the candidate- no, I don't think I'd be voting.

3. I think there will be McCain/Palin voters who won't stand in long lines, either.
And that just brings a smile to my face!!!

2. I was thinking about that too
I am sure some of them will, but I would bet that a lot of people who haven't made up their mind by now may not vote, especially if they get there and there's a long line. How many people would stand in line for 3 hours to cast a vote they haven't even made up their minds about until they go into the booth? Some might do it out of a sense of civic duty, but I bet a lot won't.

Keep in mind, though, that anyone who takes the time to complete a survey about the election probably has some degree of interest, and thus is at least somewhat inclined to vote.

4. They are mostly Republicans who don't like McCain or Palin
but can't bring themselves to vote for Obama either.
