Last night the local Ohio Fox channel 28 here broadcast a report on how Iran was saber rattling about this. Was this there attempt at an Oct. surprise? Did anyone else have this on their local Fox channel?

All I could find on the website about it was this:

Syria demands U.S. apologize for Sunday's strike

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) -- Syria is demanding an apology and compensation for a U.S. commando raid near the Iraqi border.

Syrian officials say the U.S. strike killed eight people -- all civilians.

The strike near the border with Iraq was an extremely rare U.S. attack on Syrian territory. There's been no formal U.S. acknowledgment, but officials have said the target was an Iraqi national linked to al-Qaida in Iraq.

Today, Syria's deputy foreign minister said the U.S. and Iraq should compensate Syria and pledge not to use Iraqi territory to attack Syria again. He also rejected the report that Sunday's raid killed a terrorist operative.

The U.S. Embassy has been warning Americans living in Syria to remain alert at this time, and advising them that it's possible the embassy could close.
