Republicans furious about Florida's extension for early voting.
Edited on Wed Oct-29-08 11:25 AM by gatorboy
Just read some of these comments. They love democracy!

http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/2008/10/crist-extends-e.html

The headline should read:

"Crist gives ACORN more time to cheat"
--------------------------------------------

They call me the panderer, ah, the panderer I go around, around, around, around.

--------------------------------------------

Who is going to challenge this fraud in 2010 ?

--------------------------------------------

Hey Charlie -- every hear of Absentee Ballots?

Great way to waste more tax dollars and suck up to the DEMs with extended hours for Early Voting.

Since DEMs will be the only people voting for Charlie in 2010.

Every Republican I know is itching to vote against Charlie in the Primary 2010.

Won't it be hilarious to see Charlie defeated by his own party in a Primary in 2010?

Lame duck already.

--------------------------------------------

Why don't we just vote all year long without any rules. That would give everyone ample opportunity to vote. The election should run from Jan 1st, 2012 until the national election day. this way nobody is suppressed. (dripping sarcasm in case you missed it).

--------------------------------------------

so will the state be sending funds to the counties to pay for the extra hours needed to run the polling centers? or the extra energy consumed to keep to turn the lights on?

--------------------------------------------

I will never vote for Crist again! He is a Democrat.

--------------------------------------------

Early voting is bad and by Crist doing this he just gave the election to Obama. I am shocked and disgusted.

--------------------------------------------

And my personal favorite:

This isn't very "green" of the Governor...why waste all that extra energy?

Shouldn't we be conserving?

12. I can't believe how easy they were brainwashed about Acorn..
They actually think that millions of phony votes will be cast because of Acorn.

Meanwhile...they want to keep legitimate voters from casting their ballots.

16. The angry reaction by repupublicans betrays their evil motive
to suppress voting and to steal people's right to vote. After all there is nothing bad about making voting easier and more avaliable.

19. Republicans are so open about wanting to limit citizens' voting rights.
Quite amazing.

Also amazing is how little broadcast media discuss the Republican attempts to suppress voter turnout.

Republicans have tried to limit Democrats' opportunities to vote for several elections now, but the Republican owned TV networks haven't wanted to cover this tampering with our constitutional rights.

If we had any liberal owned networks the problems would get far more coverage.

20. God forbid that as many people as possible can vote.
This is a fucking democracy right? I hope the Republican Party shatters into little, petty fragments. Crist is actually doing the right thing for the MASSES, and he gets chided by partisan assholes. Are we blue states and red states, or the United States??
