What do you most want to see accomplished in an Obama presidency?
For me, it will be Universal Health care. My seldom self-employed ass would love some health care benefits that I can afford.

Oh and of course, turning the US into a socialistic communist nation. :sarcasm:

3. If he avoids a complete and total collapse of the U.S. economy and standards of living
he will be doing great.

Anything he accomplishes beyond that will be gravy.

4. New Orleans restored
New Orleans, LA, and the MS coast, are still in ruins from Katrina. Then Gustav, then Ike..

New Orleans has massive infrastructure damage, its cultural and arts heritage in tatters, the people still in shock. The federal government should fix what they broke and fast.

6. A Sustainable Economy
Build an infrastructure for renewable energy and for full recycling and/or composting of all products and industrial by-products; reorganize the economy so that everyone works but hours are shorter and there is more time for family and liesure activities; diminish the gap between rich and poor so that extremes of both wealth and poverty are eliminated--could be done in a number of different ways.

Election reform

Economic reform, tax reform
Sustainable energy independence
Restore civil liberties

If he can stop us from circling the drain, I'll be pretty pleased at this point. After that, progress towards these goals will be gravy.
