Colin Hanna's Let Freedom Ring liars are flooding CNN & MSNBC with their outrageous ads about Obama

along with flooding most of the other networks, too.

They sure are spending a lot of money, even wasting it on shows like Rachel Maddow's. I wonder how many of the original swiftboaters are behind their outrageous distortions of Let Freedom Ring. They really enjoy painting him as anti-democracy, anti-American, and anti-people.

My question is, where the fuck are the 527's from our side? Where has MoveOn.org been? Are we simply going to let the swiftboaters have free run of the airwaves from now until election day with no opposition at all?

Schools are cancelled all over and lots of big branches are down all over our yard including an old birch tree of ours that snapped in half. The roads were treacherous last night and we lost power for hours.

4. I think we've found this election cycle that 527 attack ads aren't working

People don't want baseless attacks, they want to hear solutions. McCain* has been trying to smear Obama since picking Palin and the only thing that seems to have stuck is the "spread the wealth" crap.

7. If McCain & Co. starts running a respectable campaign

and apologizes for their behavior up until now, that's when I will start worrying. Then the moderate Republicans will think "oh what a magnanimous man" and forget about all of the garbage he's be spewing.

These ads are not working and doubling down on them just makes people shut them out more. I live in a swing state and additional ads just come across as louder and more annoying noise. You can't hear what they are saying.

This is why I think Obama's strategy of showing a 1/2 hr of hope and inspiration might be just what the doctor ordered. I cannot wait to watch something that isn't calling someone a terrorist or baby killer or socialist or tax raiser. Even the negative ads from the Democrats (which are far more sane) are getting on my last nerve.

I'm really looking forward to tonight as a break from the insanity and as an opportunity to make some sense of it all. I think Obama made the right choice to signal for the 527's to stay out of it and I think it will turn out well.
