Democrat Barack Obama has opened up a 12-point lead over Republican John McCain in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, a statewide poll to be released today shows.

7. Without PA or VA, he must have those Western states
But he cannot be in Colorado and Florida at the same time, and he can't trust Palin out of his sight, so he's in a box.

3. Franklin & Marshall poll...
According to Nate, this is one of the most unreliable of non-online polls, with a "pollster-induced error" rating of +2.59, as compared to, say, Gallup's +2.40 or ARG's +2.33. Still, I guess even factoring in that error would leave Obama with a lead of at least 9.41%, so I'm O.K. with it.
