Nothing Like A Little "Family Voter Suppression"
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 11:57 PM by demdog78
I have convinced my mother to vote for Obama, despite all of her husband's ranting and raving for her to vote McSame.

Now, he is trying to tell her that she shouldn't even vote at all if she won't vote the same as him.

She told me that he thinks she is stupid because she sees all the bullshit going on, and doesn't believe him when he tries to tell her how McCain will be better for them. (He's a cop and she owns a small business. Even with the overtime he gets and all the extra events she's been doing they still don't come anywhere close to 250K a year (I doubt they clear 80K)

It's funny... I kept sending her info on Obama. I really didn't think she was reading any of it. Just goes to show you what is possible when you spread truth and the other side spreads lies.

She voted for Dubya both times (because he told her to) but this time she's voting for Obama.

Mamma's for Obama!

Which makes it all the better. She sees her husband every day and has to listen to that crap. I see her a few times a year and am able to clear up every lie he tells her.

Although, I suppose it's not entirely his fault. If you only have the info you get from TV you aren't going to have the truth.

As I told her last week, they only tell you what they want you to know. You have to go and look for the truth yourself.

The polling place however is right down the street. She'll be going there anyway to take my little sister to school.

5. She should just tell her husband she is voting for McCain since he believes in the lies he's told
Her vote really shouldn't be any of his business. And him telling her she shouldn't vote unless she votes the way he votes is disgusting. I find it very offensive when a man tells a woman how to vote as if her vote belongs to him.:grr:

Tell your MAMA to vote however she chooses, it IS not her husband's vote, it is hers and hers alone.

6. Yes, I told her that last week.
I told her I'd stop pressuring her too, and that I wouldn't ask how she voted, although I don't think I have to anyway.

She can't stand McCain.
